I love going on walks. I especially love going to the shopping center with momma. But I am really old and I have short little legs, so it gets really tiring on those walks. Luckily, my momma is thoughtful and she brings a bag along with her in case I get tired. I just hop on in to the bag and away we go! By the way, that’s not momma in the photo. Her arms aren’t that big.

Mom has been taking me on a lot of long walks lately. Today’s walk wasn’t longer than the others, but I could not finish and had to plop my butt down on the cement. It was just too hot to walk! Mom had to carry me half a mile home! And I am not the lightest dog either.. I’m a dense 18lbs! Poor mom, her arms are still sore I bet. But that’s okay, I still had fun sitting in her arms and drooling on them as she walked home in the hot sun.

We went for a walk yesterday, and it was so hot, and I was so worn out, that when I jumped up the curb to go home, I missed and I landed on my belly and did a flip. Mom said it looked painful, but I just picked myself back up and walked it off like nothing happened. I’m a tough cat! I mean dog!

Mama and I have been going on a lot of walks lately, but it’s so frickin’ hot outside I’m not sure I want to go on any walks! Wait, who am I kidding? I love going on walks. Mom takes me out during the hottest part of the day. She says it tires me out faster, but I think she is trying to give me heat exhaustion. How rude!

Here I am two years ago when I used to be thin and not have a fat belly like I do now. Look at how fit and lovely I am in this photo. Why, mama, why must you make me fat!?! You feed me twice as much now and we get doubly less the amount of walks! I mean, I’m not complaining about all the food and treats you feed me, but come on, I need more quality walks! Please?

Mom and I went on a super long walk! Yay! It was so long that I had to stop and sit on the sidewalk to catch my breath. It was also really hot. Where can a dog get some water around here? There were some gross puddles along the way, but I’d never drink from that! Yeck! Good thing we got home when we did, because the 100 F degree sun suddenly hid behind some clouds and it started pouring! I hate the rain more than I hate the heat!! I only like water when it’s contained in a bowl!

Howdy-do, folks! I’ve been a bad dog lately. I’ve been chewing up the corners of my bed! And I know I’m not supposed to chew it. Mom gets mad, so I do it secretly when she hops in the shower. That’s my cue to chew like mad. As soon as the shower is off, I hide. Sometimes I’ll go down the hall, other times I’ll go ahead and plop myself into my kennel (where mama puts me when I’m bad). When she sees it she’s all like ARGHHH OAKIE!! and I’m all like wha? who meee? and she’s all like NO!!! I mean YES YOU! BUT NOOO on the chewing!! and I’m all like haha I’m already inside the kennel you can’t touch this! But she can’t blame me for chewing it up, I have some pent up energy that’s ready to explode!!! Mama hasn’t taken me on too many walks lately because she’s a lazy bugger. I need my walks, or I’ll chew!! RAR!

Mom took me to poo this morning in the backyard. Then about an hour later, she took me out on a nice walk around the neighborhood. I pooed two more times! I did #2 twice it was so nice! And it wasn’t even lunch time yet!

It amazes my mom how much I poo even when I haven’t had a meal. Well, she did feed me a couple of Beggin’ Strips before the walk so I’d have a little bit of energy. Maybe those things make me poo like a monster. I think it’s funny that mom has to carry 3-4 poop bags with her every time we go on a walk. She never knows how much I’ll end up pooping! Sometimes I surprise myself, too!

I love to poop. Yes. I love to poop uh lot. I average 3 poops a day, but on special days when mom is home all day, sometimes I will poo 5-6 times a day. You see, when mom is home, I love to be fed (like every other dog). I will eat everything she puts in front of me. But when she’s not home, I refuse to eat (is that normal?). I won’t even eat my very most favorite treats in the world Beggin Strips (which I usually swallow whole if hand fed to me). I don’t know why, I just don’t like to eat alone, but I love it when mom personally feeds me one piece of dog food at a time by hand. Call me a diva.. well, not really a diva because I’m a boy, but you know what I’m saying.

So that’s the back story to my ginormous pooping abilities. My mom worries about me when I’m not able to get that 3rd poo out at the end of the day, so she takes me on extra long special walks just to stir up my insides and get those darn poots out of me. I bet she doesn’t realize I sometimes purposely hold it in just to get the extra trek with mommy. Hey, it’s fun and good exercise! Stay healthy!
