Here is another one of my favorite toys. My Holey Red Ball That Can Be Filled With Treats! Whenever mom needs to leave the house and I don’t want her to go, she will fill the Holey Red Ball That Can Be Filled With Treats up with treats and it will keep me occupied for about five minutes, but it’s enough time for her to leave without distracting me too much. It only takes me five minutes to take out the treats because I am awesome and I have mastered the skill of retrieving treats from the Holey Red Ball That Can Be Filled With Treats.
Peace,

Hooray for Independence Day Observed! Mama got to stay home today from work. We slept in and hung around the house. She didn’t leave me to go shopping. She was a good mommy and kept me company. We perfected my nose trick. I can keep the treat on my nose for a really long time. I know when it’s coming.. when my mom takes out the treat and doesn’t immediately give it to me. I brace myself and lower my head so the treat will stay steady on my nose. The longer it takes her to balance on my nose, the longer it takes for me to eat the treat! So I stay as still as I can until she says “FREE!” and I can eat the treat! Yay for treats!

My mama loves me lots. She was at the store today and saw that one of my favorite dog foods was on sale, so she bought me 48 pouches of it. She didn’t have to because I already have 50 of them sitting at home. She also bought me another big bag of Beggin’ Strips and Snausages. I still have unopened packages at home, too! Wow I feel so special! I loved greeting her at the front door and sniffing the shopping bags full of delicious goodies. What a treat! Mama also told me that when she was paying for all the food, the cashier said, “You must love your dog.” What an understatement. If she only knew how much I mean to mama. I’m Oakie, her one and only preciousness baby!!
Yay me!

Bonjour! I am so hippity hop happy to be home and not in the kennel! Today I ran around the house freely, I ate three meals instead of two, I had some treats, I took a few dumps, I ran around the house some more, I played with my toys, I threw all my toys all over the house and made a mess, napped for 6 hours, I ran around some more, and I barked at birds and squirrels! What a wonderfully fun and productive day! I wish everyday were like this. Oh wait, everyday IS like this when I’m at home! La vie est belle.

I am usually a good dog (really, I am!) but if mom is hiding treats from me, I MUST seek them out — even if they are sitting on the table right next to her. Last night, I tried to sneak up on the table, but I was caught before I could snatch a treat. How’d she catch me? I thought I was quiet!

Everyone knows there’s NO time like Beggin’ Time (Beggin’ Strips mmmm), but when you squish beef in a soft chewy blanket of cheese and roll it up like a Combos snack, then I am ALL OVER that! mmmm SNAUSAGES! And they are so right.. eating it IS excessively fun!! It is so fun that I snort like a piglet when I grab the Snausage out of mom’s hand. Yummy yummy yummy yummmmay!

I love to poop. Yes. I love to poop uh lot. I average 3 poops a day, but on special days when mom is home all day, sometimes I will poo 5-6 times a day. You see, when mom is home, I love to be fed (like every other dog). I will eat everything she puts in front of me. But when she’s not home, I refuse to eat (is that normal?). I won’t even eat my very most favorite treats in the world Beggin Strips (which I usually swallow whole if hand fed to me). I don’t know why, I just don’t like to eat alone, but I love it when mom personally feeds me one piece of dog food at a time by hand. Call me a diva.. well, not really a diva because I’m a boy, but you know what I’m saying.
So that’s the back story to my ginormous pooping abilities. My mom worries about me when I’m not able to get that 3rd poo out at the end of the day, so she takes me on extra long special walks just to stir up my insides and get those darn poots out of me. I bet she doesn’t realize I sometimes purposely hold it in just to get the extra trek with mommy. Hey, it’s fun and good exercise! Stay healthy!
