I’m not allowed on the bed. I know it, and mom knows I know it. When she’s home, I stay off the bed. I’m a good little boy. But when she’s not at home, I like to hop on her bed make myself comfortable… maybe take a nice eight hour nap. Sometimes my nails get caught on the knitted blankets and I tear them. Oops. Oh well, mom will never know it was me. I greet her at the door when she gets home from work so I’m no where near the bed!!

Mom took me to poo this morning in the backyard. Then about an hour later, she took me out on a nice walk around the neighborhood. I pooed two more times! I did #2 twice it was so nice! And it wasn’t even lunch time yet!

It amazes my mom how much I poo even when I haven’t had a meal. Well, she did feed me a couple of Beggin’ Strips before the walk so I’d have a little bit of energy. Maybe those things make me poo like a monster. I think it’s funny that mom has to carry 3-4 poop bags with her every time we go on a walk. She never knows how much I’ll end up pooping! Sometimes I surprise myself, too!

I love to poop. Yes. I love to poop uh lot. I average 3 poops a day, but on special days when mom is home all day, sometimes I will poo 5-6 times a day. You see, when mom is home, I love to be fed (like every other dog). I will eat everything she puts in front of me. But when she’s not home, I refuse to eat (is that normal?). I won’t even eat my very most favorite treats in the world Beggin Strips (which I usually swallow whole if hand fed to me). I don’t know why, I just don’t like to eat alone, but I love it when mom personally feeds me one piece of dog food at a time by hand. Call me a diva.. well, not really a diva because I’m a boy, but you know what I’m saying.

So that’s the back story to my ginormous pooping abilities. My mom worries about me when I’m not able to get that 3rd poo out at the end of the day, so she takes me on extra long special walks just to stir up my insides and get those darn poots out of me. I bet she doesn’t realize I sometimes purposely hold it in just to get the extra trek with mommy. Hey, it’s fun and good exercise! Stay healthy!

I got my teeth cleaned the other day. I had them cleaned this month because February is Pet Dental Month (20% off!)! My mom always likes a good sale. My teeth are now nice and white, and I had no cavities or extractions! Those Milkbones really do work!

Here is a picture of me showing off my pearly whites! Well, this photo was taken before my cleaning, so they’re not exactly white-white, more like off-white… mom hasn’t taken a photo of me and my updated grill yet. She’s too busy updating her status on Facebook or something. Sheesh. I think she’s a little too old for that mess.

Hello, everyone! My name is Oakie!

My mom loves me so much she gave me a blog! But it took her long enough.. I’m almost 10! That’s super ancient in dog years!

Here is a photo of me! As you can see, I am SUPER cute!

My fur is a little gray. I used to be JET JET BLACK with a white patch that runs from my neck to my belly. But I am an old man now. I still have the white patch, but my fur is mostly salt and pepper. Though I started turning gray when I was only 3, so not from old age!! Must be all the stress from sleeping and playing with my toys. The woes of being a dog!!!

Anyway, I will write more later.. my paws are tired!!
